Pro’s and Cons of New Office 2010

Pros:

Price!, full version (not an upgrade, though you can use it as such),

Includes the 3 programs most people use.

Has the standard software for sharing office documents with anyone, great interface and more functionality than you need.

A choice of 32-bit or 64-bit software (Suggest you consider using the 32-bit Office even if you use 64-bit Windows, for compatibility with 3rd party addons).

Cons:

Minor improvements from Office 2007, probably not really worth the upgrade if you already own it.

No Outlook but if you need an email client there are great free alternatives like Mozilla Thunderbird.

Sometimes too much functionality means you need to search a lot in the ‘ribbon bar’ to do stuff in your documents.

Doesn’t include Publisher 2010, one additional Application that the average home/student user might want to use.
